GFWC Delaware convenes in Rehoboth Beach

The General Federation of Women’s Clubs Delaware held its 127th annual convention May 1-2 at the Atlantic Sands Hotel in Rehoboth Beach.

The event included guest speakers, information sessions, and presentation of honors and awards.

The 2022-24 President Trish Rodriguez presided over the convention. A tribute to GFWC Delaware from the Delaware Senate was read.

Writer and performer Mary Goggin was the keynote speaker. Other speakers included GFWC Past President Babs Condon, Opera Delaware Vice President Kerriann Otano and Sara Poore, a member of the Delaware Anti-Trafficking Action Council.

Mindy Goss of Millsboro, a GFWC Women’s Club of Indian River member, was recognized with the Jennie Award, the highest honor an individual can receive at the national level.

At the closing banquet, Jan Conant of Ocean View, a member of the Village Improvement Association in Rehoboth Beach, was installed as the 2024-26 GFWC president by Past President Sandra Roberts.
