I am honored to have known Marty Rendon for over 30 years, and to call him my friend. When Marty announced his intention to run for the Representative District 14 seat being vacated by our dedicated, longtime House member Pete Schwartzkopf, I was excited because I know that Marty will be an outstanding choice as Pete’s successor. Marty has a long and dedicated public service career, serving both as a congressional staff member and later as the director of congressional relations for the UN International Children's’ Emergency Fund.
Since 2019, Marty has been a commissioner on the Delaware Human and Civil Rights Commission that works to address workplace and housing discrimination. Marty is currently the chair of the commission’s legislative committee. Throughout his career, Marty has demonstrated commitment to the community and a thorough understanding of legislative process as well as skill in building consensus for success. I believe that as a person and as a professional, Marty has also demonstrated openness and honesty, and I believe he has always conducted himself ethically.
I believe that Marty has a remarkable talent and experience that will serve the citizens of RD 14 and the state extremely well, and I urge voters in the district to elect Marty as our next state representative.
