Blood Bank of Delmarva celebrates partnership with Sussex paramedics

Blood Bank of Delmarva and Sussex County paramedics joined forces to host a blood drive May 23 at the Emergency Operations Center in Georgetown.
Over the past year, type O positive whole blood has been carried on Sussex County EMS and New Castle County paramedics vehicles for use in emergency situations.
The May 23 event celebrated a one-year partnership anniversary between Blood Bank of Delmarva and Sussex County paramedics.
The goal was to collect 54 units, which is the number of units paramedics have utilized over the last year.
