Broadkiln VFW hosts annual Milton Memorial Day service

Flags waved on a windy day in Milton Memorial Park as part of the annual Memorial Day service, hosted by the Broadkiln VFW Post 6984 May 27.
The centerpiece of the event was the placing of the wreath underneath the American flag to honor those who have served in the U.S. armed forces.

The annual Memorial Day service was emceed by Hank Rickards, commander of VFW Post 6984.
The event’s keynote speaker was Command Sgt. Major Kenneth Hardy, who spoke about his experiences in the armed services and reminded everyone to remember those who served the country.
