Factory Sports sets open house in new Frankford site June 14
Factory Sports will host an open house for families and sports enthusiasts from 3 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 14, in its new 22,500-square-foot location at 34545 Dupont Blvd., Unit 6, Building F, Frankford.
Children will have the opportunity to win prizes by testing out new courts and fields for sports including volleyball, basketball, pickleball, baseball, soccer, field hockey and lacrosse.
The Blue Scoop’s mobile ice cream truck, Miss Eleanor, will be on-site serving Delaware dairy farms-based ice cream.
Frankford partner Adrian Mobilia said, “Due to the lack of a parks and recreation division in Sussex County, this type of facility is desperately needed. Athletes do not have access to dedicated indoor training facilities year-round. The Factory is not just for area youth. From beginner classes to advanced training sessions, the Factory provides the perfect opportunity for people of all ages to stay active and socialize in a safe environment. In addition, the Factory provides a variety of summer sports camps, as well as before- and after-school care for those in the area.”
The company’s newest location is home to two indoor basketball courts, six indoor pickleball courts, two indoor volleyball courts, an artificial turf field, and a dedicated athletic training space.
Opened in 2014 in Lewes, the original Factory Sports location encompasses 5,000 square feet with one court that accommodates basketball, pickleball, volleyball, and a variety of camps and activities. The company’s mission is to provide top-quality training and services to sports enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels, with a focus on promoting mental and physical wellness in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
