The Station on Kings will host a garden party fundraiser from 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday, June 30, to help save the Fourth Street Forest, a crucial green space in Lewes.
Guests will enjoy an evening of delectable food, refreshing drinks and engaging entertainment from a live jazz quartet. Tickets are priced at $75, and all proceeds will go to support the Open Space Alliance campaign for preservation of this 29-acre historic property along West Fourth Street in the heart of Lewes.
"The Fourth Street Forest is a cherished part of our community, and I'm honored to host this event to help ensure its protection for future generations,” said Leisa Berlin, Station on Kings owner and Lewes resident. “The forest is the last large wooded area remaining. It serves as an oasis for animals and plants that are disappearing at a rapid rate. It provides a much-needed tree canopy and helps prevent flooding. It is a peaceful place in a town that's becoming busier by the day.”
With limited seats available, early ticket purchase is recommended; go to osalewes.org or visit the Station on King at 720 Kings Highway, Lewes.
