DAR awards scholarship to Sussex Tech JROTC cadet

During the Sussex Technical High School Coast Guard Award Ceremony May 24, Carol Evans, regent, and Adrienne Donaway, vice regent of the Maj. Nathaniel Mitchell Chapter, NSDAR, presented the JROTC medal, certificate and award to senior student Cadet Nayeli Diaz-Rodelo.
The recipient was recommended by her Coast Guard unit commander for being an outstanding cadet and student at Sussex Tech. The Georgetown NSDAR chapter also gave the JROTC students a pizza party for rearranging their busy schedule to honor the chapter’s last-minute request for their color guard presence.
