Delaware Master Gardeners present educational open house
The Delaware Cooperative Extension hosted the Delaware Master Gardeners’ Giving Back to Nature open house June 22.
Held at the University of Delaware’s Carvel Research and Education Center, this fun-filled event was packed with mini-workshops, a plant sale, expert demonstrations, the Delaware Beekeepers Association, invasive species identification, UDairy Moo Mobile ice cream and more.
“A Day in the Garden has been going on since 2010,” said Tracy Wooten, horticultural agent for Sussex County at the University of Delaware. “It’s a day for us to hold an open house and gives us a chance to answer any gardening problems people may have.”
