Betty Virginia Littleton, cherished her family
Betty Virginia Littleton, 72, passed away peacefully in Lewes Monday, June 24, 2024. She was born Feb. 8, 1952, in Dover, beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Thelma (Thompson) Startt.
Betty dedicated many years of her life as a utility technician for Sussex County Council. She was a woman of many passions, including cooking and watching Westerns. Her community involvement included serving as a former Girl Scout leader. Above all, Betty cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Thelma Startt; and her beloved daughter, Michelle Davis. Betty is survived by her devoted husband, David E. Littleton; her loving children, Angela Hall (Heath), Mary Poore and Meda Davis; her adored grandchildren, Megan Davis, James Davis, Duke Lambert, Daja Hall, Darnell Hall Jr., Kaylee Lambert and Colby Lambert; and her precious great-grandchildren, Storm Hall, Skyla Hall and John Bentley Mason. She will also be deeply missed by her many siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A funeral service will be held in her honor at 2 p.m., Monday, July 1, at Watson Funeral Home, Millsboro, with visitation from 1 to 2 p.m.
Betty will be forever remembered for her love of family, her dedication to her community, and her warm and generous spirit.
