Boardwalk Builders wins Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence

July 16, 2024

Boardwalk Builders, a residential remodeler and custom home builder based in Rehoboth Beach, was recognized with two prestigious Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence.

Sponsored by Qualified Remodeler and Kitchen & Bath Design News magazines, the Chrysalis Awards set the standard for high-quality, creative remodeling for companies across the United States.

Boardwalk Builders was presented a Chrysalis Award in two categories for projects completed in Sussex County: Whole House Remodel $500,000-$1 Million and Whole House Remodel over $1 Million.

The Whole Enchilada project was a collaboration with Scott Edmonston, AIA, from SEA Studios Architect in Milton. Working together, the team turned a water-damaged 1980s two-story beach home two blocks from the ocean into a customized coastal masterpiece. This home was presented the Chrysalis Regional Award for a Whole House Renovation between $500,000 and $1 Million, joining three other homes from Minnesota, Florida and Oregon.

The second project, Shore Thing, turned a builder-grade home into a polished but playful beach retreat. Since the home was fairly new, the team was able to give it the facelift the client wanted with minimal structural or layout changes. This home joins others from Virginia, Missouri and California also named among best Whole House Remodeling Projects Under $5,000,000.

A female-owned construction company, Boardwalk Builders team members are passionately dedicated to bringing their clients’ dream homes to life, and they especially enjoyed working on these one-of-a-kind coastal retreats.
