Corvette show raises $6,000 for Cape Henlopen Food Basket

The Coastal Corvette Club of Delaware, in partnership with i.g. Burton Lewes Automall, held its annual Corvette Extravaganza June 8.

One of two annual fundraising events sponsored by the club, the event showcased almost 100 Corvettes from around the region.

“It’s always a fun event,” said Chris Diaferio, general manager of i.g.Burton Lewes Automall. “A lot of people come together and have a good time.” Lewes Automall provides parking for the Corvettes, and supports the participants with prizes and activities. The event raised $6,000 through donations, silent auctions and registration fees.

Proceeds will benefit the Cape Henlopen Food Basket in Rehoboth Beach.
