Bayhealth holds community information presentations
The Bayhealth Foundation recently held informational sessions for the communities of Baywood Greens and The Peninsula. Residents of Millsboro and Long Neck were able to gain an overview of Bayhealth and insights on its core services, locations and upcoming projects.
Speaking at both presentations was Lindsay Rhodenbaugh, DMin, Bayhealth Foundation president. Highlights included services offered at Bayhealth Sussex Campus and Bayhealth Total Care, the free-standing hybrid emergency and urgent care center that opened near Milton in 2023.
Attendees learned about a PAM Health inpatient rehabilitation facility soon to be opened on the Bayhealth Sussex Campus, further expanding medical/surgical bed capacity in the county. Guests also learned about Bayhealth’s plans to build a new childcare center on its Sussex Campus. The center will assist Bayhealth in its recruitment and retention of team members who have small children.
Another topic was Bayhealth’s growing graduate medical education program, which has expanded to include 84 resident physicians in four different specialty residencies including hematology and medical oncology. Bayhealth family medicine and internal medicine residents have provided nearly 40,000 patient care visits for local community members.
