KSI celebrates vice president upon retirement

August 17, 2024

To mark his retirement, KSI honored Jim Greenwell, vice president of finance and technology, with an ice cream social including KSI staff and program participants. Greenwell started his career with KSI in 2010 as comptroller after retiring from DuPont, where he first learned about KSI through a community-based work crew at the Seaford DuPont location.

Greenwell is credited with guiding KSI through many organizational challenges including the COVID pandemic and leadership changes. Serving as interim CEO for 10 months, Greenwell took charge to keep KSI afloat and thriving.

“It was during this time that KSI grew to include a facility in Georgetown and also acquired Kamp Lenape in Felton,” said Heath Chasanov, KSI CEO. “Jim allowed KSI to increase programming and opportunities for our participants through some of the toughest times the organization ever experienced.”

KSI is a nonprofit agency that provides vocational training, employment, community integration, transportation, day habilitation, life enrichment and nutritional services to individuals with disabilities throughout Sussex and Kent counties.
