John Raymond Sonderfan Jr., loved by many

John Raymond Sonderfan Jr. of Rehoboth Beach passed Friday, Aug. 2, 2024. He was born Feb. 2, 1970, in Paterson, N.J. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ethel Sonderfan. 

John lived his life selflessly and was loved by many. Growing up in Sussex County, N.J., John established his work ethic working on a horse farm, and since then, grew to be reliable while working in various labor positions and for those around him in need.

John is survived by his daughter, Rachel Sonderfan; her mother, John's lifelong partner/friend, Frances Campbell; her son, Christopher; and their grandchildren, Ethan, Gemma and Oliver. John is also survived by his sisters, Beverly Sogno, Ethel Lillo, Debra Hillman and Ronda Azmat; brother, Raymond Sonderfan; nieces, Stephanie, Michelle, Jennifer and Sarah; nephews, Matthew, Aaron, Jason, Christopher and Robbie; and brothers-in-law, Guenter Sogno, Joseph Lillo, Howard Hillman, James Clark and Ronald Zelsky.

John touched many lives with his generous, kind, forgiving, and loving spirit. He will be missed very much.

A private service will be held at a later date with immediate family.
