Deborah Lee Hall, family matriarch
Deborah Lee Hall, 72, of Frankford, passed away Monday, Aug. 12, 2024, at Atlantic General Hospital, Berlin, Md.
Debbie was born in Milford, July 30, 1952, daughter of the late Rollin L. Hudson Jr. and the late Mary Lee (Truex) Hudson. She graduated from Indian River High School Class of 1970 and also obtained her real estate and broker license.
Debbie was truly the matriarch of her family. She never missed her children's or grandchildren’s sporting or extracurricular activities. She had served on the PTO and as a den mother for Cub Scouts as her children were growing up. Debbie was always seen at Lower Sussex Little League, where she volunteered in the concession stand when her boys were little and now rooting on her grandchildren at all of their games.
Debbie will be remembered for her pristine yard and home. She particularly loved decorating for fall and Christmas, as they were her favorite times of the year. Debbie had such a great imagination, and she put that to use in her floral decorations, crafting abilities, and painting skills.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Charles J. Hall; two sons, Heath Hall and his wife Angela, and Chad Hall and his wife Amy; five grandchildren, Gage, Chase, Kaylee, Kinsley, and Eric and his wife Angeleen; and two great-grandchildren, Ben and Julia. Debbie is also survived by her four sisters, Judy Murray, Sherry Murray and her husband Eddie, Terry Truitt and her husband Jesse, and Jan Jestice and her husband Scott; and several nephews and a niece.
A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 20, at Carey’s Cemetery, Frankford.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Debbie’s name to Lower Sussex Little League, P.O. Box 372, Ocean View, DE 19970.
