Bayhealth launches 2024 fundraising effort for breast cancer awareness

August 19, 2024

Bayhealth’s 19th annual Go Pink! breast cancer awareness and fundraising campaign is officially underway.

Community members can participate by purchasing a specially designed Go Pink! T-shirt for a donation of $20, and by wearing them all October long to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Proceeds will be shared with the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition and used by both organizations to fund breast cancer screenings for underserved populations, and help increase breast cancer awareness and education.

“We’ve been fundraising this way for nearly 20 years, because it works! Year after year, our team members and community members continue to rally around Go Pink! and their support truly saves lives,” said John Shevock, FACHE, FACMPE, Bayhealth Cancer Institute executive director and senior director of operations, oncology service line. “I’m proud of the impact we’ve made to date and look forward to seeing what 2024 brings.”

New this year, DBCC was named the Premier Partner of Bayhealth’s Go Pink! fundraising efforts, which is signified on the back of the T-shirts. As one of the leading breast cancer awareness and support organizations in the state, Bayhealth is proud to work alongside DBCC to serve the community.

T-shirts can be purchased online at Bayhealth.org/Go-Pink or at the Community Pharmacies at Bayhealth Hospital, Kent and Sussex campuses for cash only while supplies last.
