Everlasting Hope Ministries held its 31st annual Community Anti-Drug Rally, March and Fun Day at the Richard Allen School in Georgetown Aug. 17. Attendees enjoyed a variety of games, food, bounce houses, train rides and door prizes.
The purpose of the rally and march was to send positive messages to the community, especially the youth, to say no to drugs and yes to life.
Exhibit tables were available for those interested in obtaining literature and other items.
The march began on the grounds of the Richard Allen School. Participants carried signs and spread their anti-drug message through the streets of Georgetown.
After the march, attendees were treated to lunch and entertainment. Everything was provided free of charge.
“I just want to thank everyone who participated,” said the Rev. Tony Neal of Everlasting Hope Ministries. “I am believing that we made a powerful statement because we believe in change. I believe this is our new beginning to turn things around for our community.”
