New Life Thrift Shop welcomes back-to-school shoppers
New Life Thrift has plenty of back-to-school bargains for students of all levels, from from preschool to college.
Featured items include clothing and shoes of all types and sizes for children and adults; office supplies like paper, pencils, binders, folders and staplers; backpacks, tote bags and luggage; sheets, towels and pillows; and small appliances, lamps, bed frames, tables and chairs.
New Life Thrift Shop is operated by the Lewes Rehoboth Association of Congregations and distributes all profits to local nonprofit agencies that address human services needs, such as hunger, homelessness, youth development, domestic violence and fire departments.
Every Thursday is senior day, with 10% off for those 55 or older with identification.
The shop is run by three paid staff and more than 80 volunteers.
The New Life Thrift Shop is located at 34686 Jiffy Way, Lewes, behind Jiffy Lube and Bethany Blues Restaurant on the northbound side of Route 1. Regular hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Shopping for early birds opens at 9 a.m., Tuesdays and Saturdays,
Drive-through donations are accepted until 2 p.m., Monday to Friday, and until 1 p.m., Saturday. To arrange pickup of larger items, call 302-644-0171.
