Stanley Goldstein, veteran, had fulfilling career

Stanley "Stan" Goldstein, 94, passed away Friday, Aug. 16, 2024. He was a 16-year resident of Lewes. Stan relocated to Lewes from Scotch Plains, N.J., where he lived for 40 years. He was born and raised in the Bronx, N.Y. Stan participated in combat operations with the 11th Marines, 1st Marine Division on the Korean West Coast during the last year of the Korean Conflict from 1952-53.

Stan earned a bachelor of science degree from the City College of New York and a master of science degree from Syracuse University in Syracuse, N.Y. He worked most of his career in the global pharmaceutical industry. Pharmaceutical sales in Philadelphia launched his career. He concluded by directing international executive development in New York headquarters and other major markets, including Brazil, Mexico, Spain, Portugal, Nigeria, Kenya, Malaysia, Philippines, and Australia. Fluency in Spanish and Portuguese helped him deliver seminars in the U.S. and overseas. He earned part-time professorships at Seton Hall, Rutgers, and Kean Universities in Northern New Jersey while consulting business clients internationally.

Stan was preceded by his beloved wife of 67 years, Rebecca, in 2022. He is survived by his son, Leonard Goldstein of Blackwell, N.J.; daughter, Laura Bandurick (Don) of New Hope, Pa.; son, Ray Goldstein (Donna) of Egg Harbor Township, N.J., and Naples, Fla.; and his grandchildren, Christopher and Carolyn of Ventnor, N.J., and Zachary, Erin and Dana of New Hope, Pa.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 28, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Hwy., Lewes, where a viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Somerset Hills Cemetery, Basking Ridge, N.J., at a later date. We invite those who knew and loved Stanley to join us afterward for a luncheon (TBD) to celebrate his life.
