Nine men charged in Georgetown prostitution sting

Nine men face solicitation charges after police conducted a multi-agency sting Aug. 21 in Georgetown.
 
Georgetown police along with the Delaware Department of Justice, Delaware State Police, Drug Enforcement Administration, and officers from Delmar, Dewey Beach, Lewes, Laurel, and Milton police departments went to several areas in Georgetown that were known for illegal activity and ended up with nine arrests.
 
Nine men were taken into custody and charged with patronizing a prostitute within 1,000 feet of a school, residence, church, or place of worship, a misdemeanor, and released on their own recognizance pending future court dates. Police did not provide an exact location of where the activity took place.
