St. John the Apostle Church in Milford will celebrate its 31st annual German Oktoberfest from 6 to 10 p.m., Friday, Oct. 4, and from noon to 10 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 5, on the grounds of the church at 506 Seabury Ave., Milford.
The Funsters will play all evening Friday. The Oktoberfest international food court will be serving traditional German entrees along with Italian, Spanish, Polish and Irish offerings. Also available will be good old hamburgers, hot dogs, french fries, Italian ice, funnel cake and homemade baked desserts.
For the kids, there will be activities galore including inflatables such as an obstacle course, face painting, pumpkin painting, a petting zoo, fire truck rides and little train rides.
The German Enzian Volkstanzgruppe and Enzian Kapelle will entertain attendees with music and dancing from 12 to 4 p.m. Saturday, and from 6 to 10 p.m., the Glass Onion band will play.
Admission is free. Food tickets may be purchased with cash or credit/debit cards.
