Vintage aircraft and classic cars to shine at Wings & Wheels Oct. 5

Wings & Wheels will open at 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 5, at Delaware Coastal Airport in Georgetown. All roads into the airport will close at 9 a.m. and parking will be at Sussex Academy, 21150 Airport Road, Georgetown. The event is free with the exception of a $5 parking fee.

Trams will bring attendees to the airport. No handicapped parking is available and no one will be allowed past the GTPD checkpoints without a specially issued event parking pass.

Attractions include a large static display of WWII-era and military aircraft, a classic car show, WWII encampment, entertainment, food, craft and information vendors, kids’ activities area, USNA Academy Parachute team and a pilot’s flour bombing competition.
