Nancy Louise Chaillet, loved reading, learning
Nancy Chaillet passed away Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024. She was born in McKeesport, Pa., May 29, 1939, daughter of Martin and Daisy Stinedurf.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Chaillet; her daughter, Cindy Bowling (James); her brother, Richard Stinedurf (Alberta); and her sister, Shirley Woodward (James).
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Karen Rascoe (James); stepdaughter, Linda Chaillet; stepson, Ned Chaillet; three granddaughters, Samantha (Robert), Caitlin and Autumn; three grandsons, John, Warren and Chris; step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a bonus great-granddaughter; step-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; two brothers, Martin A. Stinedurf (Marie) and David L. Stinedurf (Julie); and many other family members.
Nancy graduated college at 70. An avid reader, her motto was “Never stop learning.” Until her death, she studied algebra with the intent of mastering it.
She was a hard worker who was always willing to take care of those she loved.
In her dying days, her concern was not for herself but for her great-granddaughters.
