Hundreds of polka fans from across the country gathered in Rehoboth Beach recently for the annual Polkamotion by the Ocean.

Founded in 1980, the four-day event took place in Ocean City, Md., until the festival moved north to Rehoboth Beach in 2004.

The three-day event at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center began Oct. 3, and featured three evenings of polkas, waltzes and obereks, and Polish delicacies.

Get those dancing shoes ready because event hosts already know when the annual event will be held the next three years – Sept. 18-20, 2025; Sept. 17-19, 2026; Sept. 16-18, 2027.
