Vote the person, not the party

October 15, 2024

Do not be blinded by party lines. Mark Schaeffer works for all of Sussex County and specifically District 3. When I became a Dewey Beach commissioner in 2020, Mark was the first person to call and congratulate me. When I became the mayor in 2021, he stepped right up and asked, “How can I help?” It did not matter that he was a Republican and I was a Democrat. Mark knows how to get the job done.

I have not met or known the other candidate, but I know Mark. When Dewey Beach started the planning process for our new town hall, we were challenged to determine how we could afford rebuilding Sussex County Medic 114 station located here in Dewey Beach. Mark went to the county, championed Dewey Beach, highlighted the significant reduction in response time by four minutes, and delivered back a $1 million investment by Sussex County to build them a state-of-the-art facility here for all of Sussex County.

Help Sussex County: Vote for Mark Schaeffer.
