Catherine A. Pepper, state retiree, community volunteer
Catherine A. “Cathy” (Lemley) Pepper, 63, of Georgetown, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024, surrounded by her family at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.
Cathy was born in Louisville, Ky., and resided in the Georgetown area, where she was very active in the community.
Cathy retired as a paralegal with the State of Delaware Public Defenders Office after many years.
Cathy attended Wesley UM Church in Georgetown and enjoyed connecting with others as she volunteered with the Georgetown Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Georgetown Historical Society, the Chad Spicer Foundation, and the Return Day committee.
She loved to travel with family and friends, especially to Disney.
Cathy is survived by her husband of 27 years, Eric. B. Pepper; two sons, Michael Sinnott Jr. and companion Michelle Hoban, and James Sinnott; her mother, Judith Lemley and companion Fred Roland; a sister, Nancy Simpson and husband Corey; brother-in-law, Joey Pepper; cousins, Holly Pepper and Walter Pepper; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 16, at Georgetown Fire Department, 100 S. Bedford St., Georgetown.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial contributions to Georgetown Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, P.O. Box 77, Georgetown, DE 19947; or Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
