Wreath sponsors needed for Millsboro veterans cemetery

As part of the Wreaths Across America program, Delaware Farm Bureau Women’s Committee team members will be volunteering Sunday, Dec. 14, at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro.

By placing wreaths on the headstones of America’s fallen heroes, women’s committee members aim to pay tribute to the soldiers and their families, and to teach younger generations about the significance of freedom.

Wreaths can be purchased in advance through the women’s committee, which will receive a portion of the proceeds.

With the mission to remember, honor and teach, National Wreaths Across America Day sees organizations across the country conduct wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery and more than 2,500 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad.
