George Wayne Moore, kind, hardworking man

George Wayne Moore, 71, of Milton, passed away Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024, at Genesis Healthcare in Milford. 

George was born Aug. 8, 1953, in Lewes, to the late Charles and Virginia (Martin) Moore.

A true Delaware native, George was a kind man who was liked by everyone who knew him. He was a hard worker and dedicated himself to his job as a custodian at Mariner Middle School in Milton.

In addition to his parents, George is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Harry Moore, Robert Moore, Elsie Moore, William Moore, Richard Moore and Thelma Hopkins. 

He is survived by his two sisters, Dorothy Palacio and Linda Palacio.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Nov. 29, at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Milton.
