Gertrude Peterson, loved by many
Gertrude Peterson, born Gertrude Parson, passed away the evening of Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2024, at Bayhealth Sussex Campus. She left her earthly home to rest in her eternal home; a home that is free from sickness, pain, and sorrow.
Left to cherish many fond, loving memories are her two children, Carla Phillips of Ellendale, and Quentin Phillips (Debra) of Fort Washington, Md.; four sisters, Vera Turner, Dorothy Parson of Milford, Beatrice Thomas of Upper Marlboro, Md., and Emma Jean Griffin of Quitman, Ga.; two brothers, James Nathaniel Parson of Lewes, and Freddie Parson (Janice) of Georgetown; 13 grandchildren, Michelle Hunter, Nytisha Davis (Stephen), Terri Grimsley (Sean), Constance Holland, Juanita Phillips, Robert Oliver (Valerie), Taylor Phillips, Jalen Hall, Elijah Phillips, Eveliz Valentin (Jose), Betina Woodall, Chelina Tingle (Tynell) and Darius Phillips; two godchildren, Zhane Maull and Amileyon Maull; and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
