Overfalls Foundation to host Anchor Drop ceremony Dec. 31

The Overfalls Foundation will host its 14th annual Anchor Drop to welcome in the new year starting at 11:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 31, at Lewes Canalfront Park.
All are welcome to join the Overfalls crew as they ring in the new year with a countdown as the lighted anchor descends from the mast at the lightship on the Lewes waterfront.
This event is free and open to the public, but is weather dependent. Organizers can handle cold and wind but, unlike the faithful Overfalls, not rain, ice and/or snow. Cancellations will be posted at overfalls.org/events.
