Cape High theatre students train with pros in New York
A chance to see a performance of “The Outsiders” on Broadway and attend a workshop with theatre professionals recently enticed a group of Cape High students and their advisors to visit New York City. SUBMITTED PHOTOS

Shortly before winter break, Cape High theatre students had the opportunity to travel as a group to New York City to attend a workshop with Broadway professionals.
Students were able to learn the choreography and music for “Grease Got a Hold,” one of the musical numbers in “The Outsiders.” They also enjoyed a brief time to explore the city and grab lunch before attending a matinee showing of “The Outsiders.”
When students opened their programs at the theatre, they were happily surprised to find an insert welcoming Cape Henlopen High School to the show. Everyone thought the show was outstanding, and the students all had an amazing time in the city.
