Governor bestows Order of the First State on Hazel Brittingham

Gov. Bethany Hall-Long presented beloved Lewes historian Hazel Brittingham with a posthumous Order of the First State Jan. 16. Brittingham, who died Dec. 30 at the age of 97, became historian for the city’s founding and evolution, and its success of today. She was a charter member of the Lewes Historical Society.
