Dewey parking building razed, site being prepped for new town hall

The Dewey Beach parking ambassadors’ building on Coastal Highway has been demolished, and the site has been cleared to make way for construction of the new town hall and public safety building.

According to the Dewey Beach Police Department, grading and site preparation have begun. Parking staff is now located in temporary trailers in the current town hall parking lot. 

 

Ellen McIntyre is a reporter covering education and all things Dewey Beach.
