Local Moving and Junk Removal Helps People in Recovery

March 5, 2025

Christian Grace sober living properties provide safe and affordable housing for people re-entering our communities.  Four locations in Georgetown help more than 30 men and women restart their lives in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction.

Recently, the outrageous spike in utility costs from DelMarva Power resulted in a shortfall of several thousand dollars after residents’ customary monthly contributions.

Owner David Forman explains how the serious problem sparked an idea that now benefits the company, the community, and residents.

“We help many new people with their moves; and cleanouts have been part of nearly every Christian Grace property, so it makes sense to offer moving and clean-out services to our neighbors.”

Every project also presents an opportunity for arriving residents to earn money for themselves.

“People generally arrive without an initial income.  Residents who are able and willing to work are paired with experienced professionals and earn a fair day's pay. The company's portion helps cover utility costs and extend grace to new arrivals,” Forman said.

If you have a heart for people in recovery, please consider using Christian Grace for your next move or cleanout project. We are not a 501C charitible organization, but a company that operates on a shoestring budget to help save lives.  Profits will defray these horrendous energy costs, and help those who need the first few weeks of their stay funded until their employment and first paycheck.  Kindly call or text (302) 500-3881
