Ruth Kaufman and Douglas Winkelmann, while on safari in the Serengeti, not only spotted the Big Five (elephants, lions, rhinoceroses, Cape buffaloes, and leopards) but also came across a cheetah with three cubs. One of the goals of the tour was to observe the wildebeest migration, which did not disappoint. Tens of thousands of animals were seen crossing the Mara River, where crocodiles and lions lay in wait. Ruth and Douglas enjoy taking the Cape Gazette to all corners of the world and embracing new experiences!
