Harvey Hanna & Associates Inc. announced Jordan Seemans as its new government affairs and community relations manager. In this role, Seemans will oversee government relations and public policy initiatives, working closely with local, state and federal stakeholders to support the company’s mission of driving economic growth and sustainable development across Delaware.
Seemans brings more than 15 years of experience in government, public policy and legislative affairs to the multidisciplinary real estate investment, development and management firm. For the last five years, he served under State Treasurer Colleen Davis, most recently as deputy state treasurer, where he played a key role in managing critical financial and economic policy initiatives. Prior to that, as director of policy and communications for the treasurer, Seemans led the office’s legislative strategy, policy development, community engagement and media relations.
Before his tenure at the state treasurer’s office, Seemans served as director of legislative affairs for Gov. John Carney, providing policy analysis and legislative strategy for the administration. He was also the governor’s direct liaison to Delaware’s 57 municipalities, helping to shape state and local policy collaboration.
A lifelong Delawarean, Seemans is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a degree in political science.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jordan to our growing and dynamic team,” said Thomas J. Hanna, president and CEO of Harvey, Hanna & Associates. “Jordan’s extensive experience in government relations and public policy will be invaluable as we continue to grow and help drive economic development efforts here in Delaware. He has a deep understanding of how public policy works, and his ability to navigate complex government processes will help us advance key initiatives and projects that will benefit Delaware’s communities and businesses.”
