Skate the Cape hosts a gnarly 10th event

April 13, 2025

The Skate the Cape event returned March 28-30 to Fort Miles in Cape Henlopen State Park for two nights of live music, food trucks, skateboarding events and camping under the stars.

Music at the campground was provided by The Sixth Sun Collective, DJ Wubi, David Chief, Timmy B, Patty C and the Pints, and the Fitzkee Brothers.

Event organizer and Faceplant Boardriders skateboard shop owner Rob Wheeler said this 10th Skate the Cape is bittersweet, as it marks the last one. “I live in Truckee, Calif., now, so the logistics of doing this have become kind of crazy. I love the event, and it’s the people who make me want to keep doing it again and again. I can see doing a modified reunion in three years.”
