Man faces drug, gun charges after search of Milton home
A Millsboro man faces gun and drug charges April 3 following a search of a Milton home.
Members of the Sussex County Drug Unit and Sussex County Governor’s Task Force were executing a search warrant at a house on the 30000 block of Stockley Road in Milton in connection with the distribution of illegal narcotics, police said, when detectives saw a white Ford Fusion with improper window tint, driven by Deion White, 29, leave the residence and fail to stop at the stop sign at Beaver Dam Road and Stockley Road. Detectives pulled the Fusion over and White was detained, police said.
During a search of White and the property, police said they found about about 196.95 grams of heroin, a .357 handgun, and $2,324 in suspected drug proceeds. White was arrested and taken to Troop 4 where he was charged with felony possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm/destructive weapon if convicted of two violent felonies on separate occasions, and other drug and traffic charges. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $203,002 cash bond.
