School board candidates forum set

First State Educate will host a Know Your Candidates forum series to inform Delaware voters about the candidates in their local school board elections.

A virtual forum for candidates in the Cape Henlopen School District will take place from 6 to 7:15 p.m.,  Tuesday, May 6.  Participants will have the opportunity to submit questions beforehand, and learn about each candidate’s perspectives and priorities ahead of the Tuesday, May 13 elections.   A forum moderator will ensure each candidate gets equal time to speak.

“These forums come at a critical moment for Delaware’s public schools,” said First State Educate Executive Director Julia Keleher in a press release.

“With significant changes at the state and federal levels, the need for informed and engaged school board members has never been greater. We need to put the public back in public education.” For information and a registration link, go to firststateeducate.org/knowyourcandidates.
