Nanticoke Cancer Care now affiliated with Tunnell Cancer Center

Nanticoke Cancer Care Services recently announced a new affiliation with Beebe Medical Center’s Tunnell Cancer Center. This affiliation will allow medical and radiation oncology physicians to treat patients at Nanticoke Cancer Care Services, keeping cancer care in Sussex County.
In addition to access to high-quality physicians who know the community, this affiliation will expand support services for patients, bring clinical trials to Seaford and provide valuable upgrades to technology available at Nanticoke. Patients will benefit from specialty and subspecialty care through the affiliation with the Tunnell Cancer Center. Patients will also benefit from a $1.2 million investment in upgrades to technology at Nanticoke.
“We are so pleased to announce our affiliation with Beebe’s Tunnell Cancer Center. We believe this new relationship will allow us to provide better care for our patients through a team of physicians, nurses and support staff who are working together and truly committed to the patients in Sussex County,” said Steven A. Rose, president/CEO of Nanticoke Health Services.
The new affiliation with Tunnell Cancer Center will enable the Nanticoke Cancer Care Services to continue to be a full-service cancer center. Services offered at Nanticoke include medical oncology and hematology, infusion, radiation therapy and support programs. Medical oncology services will be provided by Dr. Srihari Peri and his team of medical oncologists, including oncology care provided by Dr. Muhammad Siddique, who will be seeing patients at Nanticoke on a full-time basis.
Radiation oncology services will be provided by Delmarva Radiation Services PA under the direction of Dr. Brian Costleigh. These teams of physicians have a successful history of providing excellent cancer care for patients. They, along with the expert team at Nanticoke, will be providing patient-centered care in a compassionate, warm and supportive environment.
“Nanticoke Memorial Hospital had several options available to them when they were looking for a partner to help them deliver exceptional oncology services on their own campus. The partnership between Nanticoke Memorial Hospital and Beebe Medical Center will allow patients in western Sussex County to take advantage of the talented and compassionate doctors and staff who work with the Tunnell Cancer Center, while remaining close to home. We couldn’t be more pleased to be working with the highly professional team at Nanticoke Cancer Care Services,” said Jeffrey Fried, president/CEO of Beebe Medical Center.
