Changing of the guard
Jennifer Burton was sworn-in as area D representative July 5 for the Cape Henlopen school board. She won the 5-year seat in May, previously held by Camilla Conlon who chose not to run for re-election. Andy Lewis was elected president of the school board and Spencer Brittingham will serve as vice president. Her newspaper career spans more than 30 years and includes working for the Delaware State News, Burlington County Times, The News Journal, Dover Post and Milford Beacon before coming to the Cape Gazette in 2012.
