Col. David Hall Chapter of DAR inducts new members

The Colonel David Hall Chapter inducted newly elected officers who will each serve a three-year term at the May 11 meeting. Shown are (l-r) Regent Nancy Barlow, Vice Regent Denise Clemons, Chaplain Gloria Lester, Recording Secretary Jane Starr, Corresponding Secretary Dottie Wiker and Registrar Kristin Jones. The regent is the managing director of the group; the vice regent is responsible for programs. The chaplain provides spiritual guidance, the recording secretary maintains meeting minutes, the corresponding secretary publishes communications and the registrar assists with applications for membership. The Col. David Hall Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution inducted three new members at the May 11 meeting at the historic Maull House on Pilottown Road.

Membership in the DAR is open to women who are lineal descendants of documented patriots who supported the American Revolution.
