McLean has been an active artist since her days as a student in public school in Lebanon, Pa. Two of her most influential teachers during that time were Mark Pelusi and Ron Schreiner.
After moving to West Chester, Pa. with her husband and two sons, McLean studied painting with Karl Kuern of Chadds Ford, Pa.
Recently she and her family moved to the Cape Region, where they are enjoying the shorelines of Lewes and Rehoboth Beach.
McLean's work shows a growing maturity and excitement while studying under the teaching of local artist Linda Minkowski She is an avid painter in oils and has exhibited extensively at local art exhibits. Summing up her feelings about her work, McLean says, “Painting to me is such an enjoyable activity! Applying color to canvas is always exciting… I hope this enthusiasm is passed along to the viewer!”
