Mirabelle and Mr. Muller come home for Story Time at Browseabout Books July 15, 17

July 13, 2013

Everyone’s favorite Boston Terrier Mirabelle and her owner Michael Muller are returning to Rehoboth Beach for two special Story Time visits with their friends at Browseabout Books, promptly at 9 a.m. Monday July 15 and Wednesday, July 17.

Muller will be reading from the three early reader "Happy Dog Adventure" board books he authored - "Mirabelle and the Bouncy Red Ball," "Mirabelle and the Butterfly" and "Mirabelle Goes for a Walk"  all about the adventures Mirabelle shares with her devoted owner Muller.

The incredible thing for children is that the book characters are real. Mirabelle is a live, black and white dog with boundless energy and round wide-set eyes; and Muller really does wear those bow ties, snazzy shoes and big eyeglasses!

Tom Boeke gave Muller, a photographer and collage artist, a puppy as a gift in 2006. Muller named her Mirabelle and they lived in Rehoboth Beach for several years, where Mirabelle’s expressive, loving ways won her countless friends and fans.

Curious, happy, smart and always ready for a new experience, Mirabelle is now a national phenomenon with her own website, Facebook page, happy dog adventures on YouTube, greeting cards and more. The huge popularity of Muller’s books, published by Workmen’s Press, will have Mirabelle and Muller launching their National Book Tour this fall.

Though Muller and Mirabelle relocated to Baltimore, Md., they will always have a place in the hearts of the Rehoboth Beach community.

“We love Browseabout. It’s like coming home,” says Muller, who delights in having people connect with the books’ messages about being aware of and enjoying the small joyful moments of life with someone they care about, and simply being happy.

In addition to sharing a story with Muller and Mirabelle, children will participate in creating a craft and there will be a book-signing opportunity.
