Everett Lee “Buck” Millman, 81, lifelong resident of Milton, passed away Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, at home.
Everett was born in Milton, son of Edward and Bessie Mae (Donovan) Millman. He was one of 15 children and is preceded in death by his parents and 12 siblings. In addition to his parents and siblings, Everett is also preceded in death by a grandson, Phillip Jester.
As a child, he and his family attended White’s Chapel. He worked most of his life as a supervisor or manager in the clothing industry. He and his wife Margaret owned and operated Mar-Bucks Manufacturing in Milford from 1988 until their retirement in 1996.
“Buck”, as he was known to many, loved baseball and the Philadelphia Phillies. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He dearly loved and was very proud of his family, and received much joy from the time spent with them.
Everett was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Margaret E. (Bradley) Millman; four children, Keith E. Millman and wife Mary Ann, Perry Lee Millman and wife Gabriela, Cindy R. Wilson and husband Paul, and Marvin B. Jester and wife Lori; eight grandchildren, Samantha, Matthew and Joshua Millman, Sean and Abby Wilson, Kelly Gale, Vincent and Ariadna Aguero; two great-grandchildren, Seth Jester and Evan Clarke; two brothers, Jessie Millman and Robert Millman; and a host of extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be held Friday, Aug. 9, at noon, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton, with visitation after 10 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.
