SPAHR to host jewelry trunk show Aug. 31

Reception 6 to 9 p.m. for designer Paul Kerkhoven
August 29, 2013

SPAHR in downtown Rehoboth Beach will host a jewelry trunk show Saturday, Aug. 31, with works by Washington, D.C.-based designer Paul Kerkhoven. "This is the first trunk show we have hosted," said SPAHR owner Scott Spahr.

"I was introduced to Paul's designs several years ago and was struck by how he transforms recycled materials into his beautiful pieces of jewelry. Some of the materials that he repurposes are vintage billiard balls and lunch boxes. He also creates works with both semiprecious and precious stones. All of his works are well priced and available to a wide audience," said Spahr.

Kerkhoven was born and grew up in the Netherlands; he moved to the United States more than 30 years ago when he began working on his craft. He is also a green lobbyist, which inspires him to work with repurposed materials. Kerkhoven will be on hand to show and talk about his work from 3 to 9 p.m. A light reception will be served from 6 to 9 p.m.

SPAHR is one of Rehoboth's most unique stores. It is where owner and designer Spahr designs and creates fashion clothing for both men and women.

SPAHR is at 43 Baltimore Ave. in downtown Rehoboth Beach. For more information, call 302-226-3804, or go to www.ScottSpahr.com.
