E. Ruth Phillippi, Church of Nazarene member

E. Ruth Phillippi of Felton died Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, at Bayhealth Kent General, after a short illness. She was born in Tennessee.

She was a member of the Burrsville Ruritan and the Sandtown Church of the Nazarene. She was predeceased by her husband, James E. (1979); a son, Sidney (1957); and a daughter Jonna Presswood (1998). She is survived by two sons, James (Companion Genia) Phillippi of Felton and Patrick (fiance Denise) Phillippi of Harrington; two daughters, Joyce (husband Bill) Stout of Milton and Ellie (husband Frank) Humphries of Felton; a sister, Geraldine Cable of Butler, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, James Jordan Phillippi, Heather Phillippi, Zachary Phillippi, Kelly Sharpe, Jennifer Sharpe, William Presswood, Nathan Presswood; three great-grandchildren, Liam Sharpe and Skilynn Cole and Edwin Presswood.

Services will be Friday, Sept. 6, at 2 p.m., at Price Funeral Home, 6 Dorman St., Harrington, where friends may call Thursday, Sept. 5, from 7 to 9 p.m. Internment will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions to the Sandtown Church of the Nazarene, 448 Willowgrove Road, Felton, Delaware. -
