VFW Ladies Auxiliary national president visits Rehoboth

Armithea “Sissy” Borel of Starks, La., the national president of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States visited VFW Post 7447 in Rehoboth Beach Sunday, Sept. 8. Borel is on her national tour, visiting VFW posts throughout America.

Prior to her visit to Rehoboth, Borel visited the veterans in the Delaware Veterans Home in Milford and also the Home of the Brave. Borel will lead the organization under the theme Keeping America's Veterans & Families Strong for the 2013-14 year, which is the 100th year of service for the organization. She will focus on strengthening membership and serving veterans and their families through the national programs.

Veterans’ organizations from the Cape Region turned out to greet Borel, and local officials also came to the dinner to read and present tributes to Borel.
