Cape JV soccer defeats Sussex Academy 2-0

October 15, 2013

The Cape Henlopen junior varsity soccer team hosted Sussex Academy at Legends Stadium Oct.10, and when the final horn sounded, the Vikings had scored a 2-0 victory over the Seahawks. Will Geppert and Harold Ayala each tallied a score for the Vikings.

"Despite the conditions, we possessed the ball well and played good team defense," said coach John Myers. "We played a very lackluster game on Tuesday at Seaford, so it was good to see us play with energy and passion. Although Sussex Academy was young, they were a quality team that is well coached. They had beat CR earlier this year, so we knew we would have to be patient and play our game."
Cape plays host to Dover Tuesday, Oct. 15 at Legends Stadium.
