Jeff West releases holiday style guide video

Former Rehoboth retailer Jeff West is taking his skills to the internet with a three-minute video – filmed in Lewes – offering simple, elegant solutions for decorating for the holidays.

The video is part of his new business venture, the JList blog. "I like to keep them short, just two or three minutes, so they are short enough to enjoy," West said.

As his blog develops, West said he hopes to continue to produce related videos and feature area artisans and craftspeople he works with in his home design business which spans the Cape Region and Washington, D.C.

One technique he suggests for winter is to fill planters or even birdbaths outdoors with bright, red cranberries in place of water or mulch to add an unexpected pop of color. Incorporating this trick, among others, into his designs over the years, West said he's known as "cranberry man" to many clients.

He encourages readers to subscribe to his blog for more information and more  videos to come.

"I had at least five more ideas I would have like to have shared," West said. "But you know, in time."
